These terms are an agreement between you and iDriver covering your use of the iDriverX website, job board and driver portal. By using the platform you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform. Effective 10 October 2012.
What iDriverX is
iDriverX lists driving jobs and lets you build one driver profile that you can send to any of them. We are not the employer. The carrier or agency that posts a job decides who to interview, who to hire and on what terms. We do not guarantee that any job listing is accurate, current, or that any application will lead to an interview or an offer.
Who can use it
- You must be old enough to work as a commercial driver where you live.
- You must be legally entitled to work in the country where the job is located.
- You must register as yourself. Accounts created on behalf of another person are not permitted.
Your account
- Keep your password private. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
- You can close your account at any time. See the privacy policy for what happens to your information afterwards.
The information you give us
Your profile is sent to employers when you apply, and they rely on it. You are responsible for making sure it is true and up to date. That includes your licence details, your driving record, your work history and every document you upload.
- Do not upload a document that belongs to someone else.
- Do not alter a licence, abstract, CVOR record or certificate.
- Keep your licence and document expiry dates current.
We may suspend or close an account where information has been falsified.
Acceptable use
You agree not to do any of the following.
- Scrape, copy or republish job listings or any other part of the platform.
- Try to gain access to an account, record or system you are not entitled to see.
- Interfere with the platform, or attempt to disrupt it for other users.
- Use the platform to send unsolicited messages or to advertise.
- Use the platform for anything unlawful.
Job listings
Listings are supplied by the carriers and agencies that post them. We do not verify pay, equipment, schedule or any other detail before a listing appears. Satisfy yourself about the terms of any job before you accept it.
Our content
The platform, its design, its text and the iDriverX name belong to us. You may use the platform to look for work. You may not reuse any part of it for another purpose without our written permission. The documents and information you upload remain yours, and you give us permission to store them and to send them to employers when you apply.
Availability
We do not promise the platform will be available without interruption. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including individual features, at any time.
Disclaimer
The platform is provided as it stands. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we make no warranty about the conduct of any employer or any other user.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost earnings, lost opportunities, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, from a job listing, or from your dealings with an employer.
Ending your access
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. You may stop using the platform and close your account at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
